    • How to feed:
      • Boiling linseeds may destroy some vitamins and fatty acids.
      • We recommend grinding down to break the outer husk and assist digestion
      • Blend into the feed as part of a balanced diet
      • 150g of seeds well ground should supply approximately 40ml of oil.
      • For horses poor or restricted pasture or with inflammatory conditions, it is suggested to supplement at 120-170g/day for an average-sized horse.
      • For coat and skin health, just 50g daily may help.
    • Nutritional Benefits:
      • Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Linseeds contain over 50% unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties and promote overall health.
      • Protein and Vitamins: Linseeds are rich in protein, folic acid, nicotinic acid, pantothenic acid, selenium, and various vitamins.
      • Digestive Support: The seeds provide natural mucilages that support stomach and intestinal mucous membranes. This makes it a safe source of nutrition and may assist horses with digestive issues, diarrhea and colic.
